SHLC member Carrie Ruffner has been missing since Wednesday evening, May 1st. Details about her disappearance and the search for her have been in the local news and on the internet. Most of what has been reported is fairly accurate. The search for Carrie and the investigations are continuing in earnest; as of this moment there is nothing new to report. Carrie and her family have been members of SHLC for many years.
Our congregation will be having a prayer service tonight, May 3rd, at 7 pm in the sanctuary, praying that she is found safely, and for her family – parents Judy and Bill Vreeland and her children Abigail and Alexander.
At these times, we come to Our Lord Jesus Christ for comfort and peace and to encourage and support one another. All people are welcome and encouraged to come to the prayer service – including Carrie’s family and friends, SHLC members and anyone else from the community who wishes to join us in prayer.
Please feel free to use your social media to share the information about tonight’s 7 pm prayer service and to invite all to be here.
Good News, Bad News 1 Peter 3:15 - But in your hearts honor Christ the Lord as holy, always being prepared to make a defense to anyone who asks you for a reason for the hope that is in you; yet do it with gentleness and respect.
