Becky’s Testimony

I was fortunate! I was blessed! I was raised in the faith by my parents right from the start of my life. My faith is the cornerstone of every aspect of my life. It is about being a good steward of all God has given me.

My faith instructs me on:

-How to Care for my Body

1 Corinthians 6:19-20 "Don’t you realize that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, who lives in you and was given to you by God? You do not belong to yourself, for God bought you with a high price. So you must honor God with your body."

-How to Care for the Environment

Psalm 24:1 "The earth is the Lord’s, and everything in it, the world, and all who live in it;"

-How to Treat My “Neighbor”

Mark 12:31 "The second is this: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’"

-How to Forgive Others

Matthew 6:14 "For if you forgive others their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you"

-How to Use my Money

Malachi 3:10 "Bring the full tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. And thereby put me to the test, says the Lord of hosts, if I will not open the windows of heaven for you and pour down for you a blessing until there is no more need."

-How to Use my Talents

1 Peter 4:10-11 "God has given each of you a gift from his great variety of spiritual gifts. Use them well to serve one another."

-How to Use my Time

1 Corinthians: 31 "So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God."

-How to Share the Gospel

Psalm 96:3 "Declare his glory among the nations, his marvelous works among all the peoples!"

-Yes, and Even How to Vote

Proverbs 31:8-9 "Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves, for the rights of all who are destitute. Speak up and judge fairly; defend the rights of the poor and needy."

Now, please know, that I do not always follow His instructions!! As a sinner, I all too often do it “my way”! I fail miserably! But I know that I can always turn back to Him, ask Him for forgiveness, and ask Him to help me serve Him better.

Yes, I still cling to the statement “I believe, help my unbelief”. Of course, there are times when I doubt. I am, after all, human.

Bottom line? I believe that Jesus is my Savior. He gave his life for me, and He alone can give me the hope of eternal life. In return, I must strive to be a good steward of everything in my life.
