Go therefore and make disciples of all nations

“Go therefore and make disciples of all nations ….”                                    Matthew 28:19 That is what Jesus commanded us to do.  Obviously, few of us are going to be overseas missionaries.  However, that does not mean that we are not called to be disciples and to make disciples where we are planted. How does one begin to say ‘thank you’ to those who have said ‘yes’ to discipleship by teaching our children and so,  helping to raise up the next generation of disciples? Without the Sunday school teachers and Vacation Bible school teachers, those ministries would not exist.    Frankly, the future of the church would be in great jeopardy.  The children are the church now and in the future! So, I humbly say a heartfelt “Thank you!” to the 40 people in our church family, young and old, who have answered yes when called to serve in those capacities. Some of our teachers have stepped forward year after year to serve in this way!  I thank them for their faithful service.  I encourage others to speak to me about how to get involved in these ministries and help to fulfill this commandment.
