Our word of encouragement today comes from Becky, SHLC Jersey Missions coordinator... When we started this journey just a few weeks agoThe words of courage did readily flowBut as it drags on, Lord, we sometimes feel downWe need your light to shine all around. The glimpses of light that we see each dayEncourage us to kneel and prayWe ask that your light will guide us to knowYou're right here with us as we fight this foe. The flickers of light each day we seeIn the love of our friends and our familyThe phone calls, the zooming, the emails and moreGive us the strength we need to endure. Help us to overcome our gloom and our fearShed your light on us so we know you are hereDrying our tears and holding our handsAs this pandemic spreads throughout our land. The light at the end of the tunnel seems dimBut we will overcome and we will winGive us the courage, and give us the willBathe us in light so we know you're here still. As the days become weeks and the weeks linger onShine your light on us Lord so we can be strongThese dark days certainly will come to an endYour healing light we ask you to send.
